PUR (Polyurethane Adhesive) is a reactive polyurethane hot melt adhesive, also known as a moisture-curing reactive polyurethane hot melt adhesive. Its primary component is a polyurethane prepolymer terminated with isocyanate groups (-NCO). After being heated and melted, the PUR adhesive reacts with moisture in the air or water on the surface of the substrate, forming a partially cross-linked network structure. This enhances properties such as bonding strength, chemical resistance, heat resistance, and hydrolytic stability.
PUR Hot Melt Adhesive
Composition: Primarily composed of polyurethane prepolymers (containing isocyanate groups, -NCO), which undergo a cross-linking reaction initiated by moisture (water in the air) to cure.

In recent years, PUR hot melt adhesives have become a significant category in the adhesive industry. They are widely used in applications such as flat lamination, edge banding, profile wrapping, foam bonding, and more.
What is PUR Polyurethane Adhesive?
Advantages of PUR Polyurethane Adhesive

High Bonding Strength: Excellent adhesion to metals, plastics, wood, glass, textiles, and other materials.

Temperature Resistance: Wide range of operating temperature(-40°C to 160°C).

Chemical Resistance: Resistant to oil, solvents and hydrolysis, outstanding performance in harsh environment.

Rapid Initial Tack:  After heating and gluing, the glue cools down rapidly to obtain strong initial adhesive, which is ideal for automated production lines.

Eco-Friendliness: Solvent-free, zero VOC emissions, compliant with RoHS, REACH, and other environmental standards.

Flexibility: After curing, the adhesive layer is flexible, can absorb stress, and resist shock and vibration.
